From what I have noticed of him, Param Minder Jee is a self proclaimed leader who wants to use the medium of internet to set himself up as a political icon. On the side, he runs banner ads to get money out of the few people who visit his blogs and have the time to click on the advertisements. That's what I know of him so far. Will update you when I find out more.

I think parmendra bhagat is someone who is interested in and cares about nepal and nepali politics, and is pretty knowledgeable about about issues facing nepal. He has some interesting things to say, but as any blogs you can't take it as an absolut.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Paramendra Check this link. This will provide little insight. He is in "Quixstar". A business based on pyramid model. Most of people in this are money minded will do anything for money. If you happen to attend their meeting, you will know what I am talking about. Peace out

Parmendra got some quite interesting thoughts. It's worth watching what he's saying. I truly feel and felt that racisim issue with Madhesi ppl is ridiculous back home. There must be equality in every aspect of every Nepali ppl regardless of their caste, color or origin. Taking all that into account, we should also maintain our national pride as Nepali. We should be able to maintain difference of indviduality of being a different and independent nation apart from other nations no matter what. We can't compromise on any issues that questions the very existence of the soverignity of our nation.

Most of the things back home are ridiculous. Compared to lot of problems issues in Nepal right now the Madhise issue is nothing.

I have kuireni issue. Why are they charging me $150.00 for the same domestic flight for which Nepalese only pay about $ 20.00? Think about being color disadvantaged.

Oviously, Nepal is not a developed nation. The country is been struggling with lotta social, poltical and other issues. Its good that somebody is raisng voice for Madeshis. However, they are not the minority group. All the minority issues should be addressed. The discrmination is done from every ethnic group to other from one class to another. I have worked in a business ran by a person of Madeshi origin. Almost all the staff were Madeshis or of Indian origin. I felt I was targeted for no reason. No body even talked to me properly while at work. Finally I had to quit. Laura, I do not think you were in disadvantage. I am sure they admired you everywhere you went. But they gotta milk the cash cow (tourists). peace out

i think the last thing Nepal needs right now is another racial equality movement.. I mean i understand that there are racial issues in nepal but should that be the first priority at this time? I am not saying equality issues should not be raised but it's just not the right time to do that when nation's democracy at stake. Instead of instigating racial conflcts, it wud be a lot better if everybody just stuck together as Nepali n' not bahun, chettri or madeshi, dalit whatever else it there. I think that's one problem with nepalese, our democracy was premature and instead of trying to reform, ppl started pointing fingers and changing the entire system.. as for paramendra bhagat, he seems qualified i dont' know what his true motives are but he does make a point! at least we can agree on that..

I would not say admire. But they are nice. Well, tourists are not cash cows but compare what you spend here in US ,it is peanuts. I also feel you are changing or trying to change a life of a person if you buy from them. It could be handicraft goods or road side hotel/motel.

Laura aunt, stop whining. We sojha sajha Nepali are preyed upon like sitting duck in USA by your traffic police, lawyers who promise greencard and run away and apartment neighbor whites who think all foreigners are filthy but who themselves live with dirty pets, eat honey barbequed chicken wing and beer, and become fat everyday. :-) God save rest of the Americans though. They are nice people.

I do sympathise with you regarding your residency issue but I would also run into same problem if I have to live here in Nepal. Regarding people in US or for that matter in Nepal, you have good and bad people all over the world.

laura aunt: tks for sympathy, but honestly, your country has a big trouble with all these unscrupulous lawyers. I didn't have the residency problem, since I am still a student, but I have seen so many immigrants duped by these lawyers. Are these lawyers ever caught? If one american is duped like this in Nepal, US embassy in Nepal would definitely push our police headquarter alot to 'do something about this'.hamro embassy is so weak here, ke bhanne.

Boy, Paramandra has one big ego. Somebody feed him Chock full o' nuts--perhaps that'll satiate his ever-hungry ego. This guy was promoting his idea once upon a time, which clearly looked like a scam to me. Laura, quit your whining, will you. $150 is pocket change as far as I am concerned. I paid $1700 for my round-trip to Nepal.
