Finally replacing my tampered 2005 baby Camry to 2010 cutey Prius Hybrid.
In 12 years put 152K. It has been to Canada / Niagara fall many times in North, over 15 times to NY and driven to Blue Hill Parkway scenic route from South Carolina to Virginia.
Due to gas price ( not going down until Russia stops the evasion ( war ) and produces more oil and able to sell it is the reason to replace. Hybrid will save 200-1500 per year which is worth of replacing!

I think you're aware of the hybrid battery and cost to replace it, right ? The hybrid battery might die soon since it is 12 yrs old car. The toyota dealer charge you 5k-6k to replace it and the local hybrid shop may charge you half of it.

Toyota introduced to US market at the end of 1997. Since then most city has little shop for hybrid car specializing on battery. Now they range 1500-3000 ( not at Dealer) will last almost the same length of time.
If someone has electrical knowledge can replace dead battery buying from E bay. I am thinking of taking electrical lesson at vocational school in this summer. That will help me to repair at home electricity (minor work)  without calling for help.  Not trying to be a electrician but knowledge is wealth ( we never tried those kind of things back home)

ya I think its a great choice especially at this time when the price of the gas is peak high. The price of hybrids are also sky rocketing in a high pace, would you mind sharing how much mileage was the car?(if you dont mind)

I am expecting a saving of $ 800- $1200 a year as the price of gas stays around $5. We are not expecting to go gas price down to $3 soon or never happens.
