My wife wants to get a u. s. a. passport. Will the United States government inform the Napal government that she is an American citizen when and if she manages it ? Would she then lose her Nepali citizenship ? Could she lose her property in Nepal ?

Nepal doesn't allow it's citizens to have dual citizenship--that could change but seems risky to leave to chance.The law is inexorable--thats the nature of law.
I know they have 'bigger fish to fry' and probably don't give a shit it but...
