Hello Guys,
I am making one plan. Dhotis have been sucking all Nepalese and Indians in the name of H1B. What if I open my own consulting business and apply for H1s. No trainings provided, no accomodation. Find your own job and you gotta keep almost all of your money except a small percentage needed to keep business running with small profit. What do you guys think ? Are you going to join such company ?

you can't do that, its a immigration law. You can't be a business owner and then become a beneficiary of any immigration VISA. otherwise any John and Mary would have done that. That why when you open a company someone needs tobe Green Card Holder or Citizen, but this is not necessarily true for Assumed Name (i.e sole ownership).

I won't be beneficiary of h1b visa. I don't need one. I am just trying to help out those who are being sucked by dhotis.

betterbetter , I agree with you. Tara ,,,,how can u make sure that u will not be one of those suckers in the future(sorry if my harsh words make u think ...). Everyone say they are different. What i was thinking was same with little different move...Lets open a compnay, the cost is very low to register, anyone can do that..and then lets rent a house with 4 bedrooms. lets connect people with different backgrounds and professionals. and select few peoples from these group by voting to handle different managements. like finance, recruting, and ineteriors and so on....... lest teach each others. open house 24/7. spent equally at the beginning. looks for own jobs. get paid by 60 K to each person or differently depending on job cataegory. becoz everyfields doesn't make same. and at the end of the year, after all costs and lets divide revenue among all the employees of that compnay. we have no owners, everyone is owners, and so do all have responsibilty ,,,
Lamak 98. i think ur knowledge of immigration is little rokkie. i am not an expert now, so plz i might be wrong..( little knowdgele is dangerous)..U can open company despite u don't have a greencard. there are other visa status that u can aplly , or change ur owm to do business. ..now, if we wanna go different approach, we can open even with student visa or out of status, but offcourse we won't do that.
lastly, i would defanately try Vastika.since i know about these company, and i am from dallas area and i know people behind these company. there are pros and cons too. its a new company , first year in th ejob, but if u compare their success rate , or the direction they are moving is phenominale..., their H1b sucees rat eis very very high, i heard they pay mor ethan any other companies out there, and more is like real different. ( remeber to do ur homework, do ur own reserach). everyone is out there to make profits and do business. they have to make their livings too. but i know all of us are not happy with amnu consultancy...so i hop ethese compnay will come to a point that both parties are happy.(and these people are nepali, so i guess they wana help nepali too, now my assumtion might be wrong)...
Lastly, do what u can do urself...do reseach, gather informations, and alwys stay one step ahead......
Thnsks....
"don't make fool of urself, there are enough fools out there."

Stupida:
I agree that at this point we need a networking body rather than a consulting company itself. Seriously, lets get together and start something even if it is online. We can really help each other out.
Especially in terms of getting jobs.If anyone knows that their company is hiring, then they can post the job requirements and if we qualify we could apply and get it. This is how the Indians work. They always help each other out even during promotions and move forward. After working for a few years, we know what one needs to get into the job.
I was thinking on those lines.

Sheetalab: Looks like u have been in this field for quite a while and withs lots of knowledge and experience. I am kind of new to this field. I have been thinking all about this, but to start anything, u need resources, people, and finance, and offcousre commintment and "kurbani" ( i couldn't come with exact neplai and english words). and at present i am not in the position to do this. Whenever i see these people, specially indians, they do their homework, they work hard, and suckers usually suck every bit of blood they could. Now there might be few companies, who are different, so my appology to them. but i haven't come across those companies.
i want to make money too, but i don't think i will be able to do what people usually are doing. " ma kasiaie gali ya kasie ko kamaie ko paisa, ani tiniharu koe teyo baddhuwa(looks like my neplai and english are getting worse) liyara paisa kamanue sakidinna.
another things i don't enjoy what i do . i am not a computer guy. i love people, talk to them, and help people, and offcourse travel diff places, with company business. so in the future if u happen to open this compnay , put me in a position where i can do all these. Let's see what future brings
Best of luck to u and all out there.......

Guys let me put few things into consideration.
I agree that networking is important, but when it comes to applying for a job on a corp to corp you need a good company. Major big companies will not go for small companies. I have worked with Vastika and I like their mentality hence I have started recommending them to my friends. In fact I am helping them out on a timely basis because I know that they are taking care of the Nepalese communities. I have been with these dhoti companies for over 3 years now and never was happy with the money I got or their attitude. I would say nothing is wrong to try them.. Call them talk to them and see if the company is a fit for you.
As I said I have started helping them out here.. If you want you can call us check us out at www.vastika.com
p.s. looking for Unix Admin, Oracle DBA, .net developers
Good Luck.
Peace

Well i was not thinking of a company or such, just a resource kind of thing but even i do not have right now the time and resource required to do it. As an immigrant, you have to think of so many things before having actual time to work on anything, but just thinking on the line so that may be it will help the new ones to come in the field.
I am not directing this only for the IT field, even i am not directly an IT person but work in the field now. IT could be any other area.
Well it looks like a very long term goal though and i am not even taking about taking money or anything. i am not talking about opening a consulting place at all... just a resour site or something like that.
