i would surely like to know what the dude said to zidane to piss him off so bad. regardless, Zidane took a wrong decision at a very wrong time.

France is not my FAV team. However, I was watching this game and supporting France just because it was the last game of Zidane. I would be happy to see Zidane waving all his fans after the game even he lost it. We even could not see him in the field at the end. How was that??

The game was special because it was his last game. How can a world class player be sent off in his last ever game? It's stupid.

I think if you were in that place you wouldn't do what he did. would you? You would feel a bit responsibility on those Fans who were watching the game just for you. That is one most important quality a world class should possess. I know you will agree with me in this part.

is a world class player allowed to feel sad, get mad, or do you expect him to be a robot and not make any mistakes.

everyone is born as a person first, and then becomes a world class player, not other way around.

but anyways, zindan should have controlled his temper, but again, did he do it intentionally , i dont think so, is he regretting now, well hell ya, coz he's the one who lost the most of from what he did.

but he still is one of the finest player the world has seen. and we should respect that.

Zidane got the justice of his misdemenour and France lost the match. GOOD match and fair play by ITaly.

On the other hand, I think it was very disappointing for Zidane to go off in that fashion in his last game. He is a class player and has brought with him a generation of young French stars. Something must have been said or done for Zizou to be ticked off like that, but again there is no excuse for such behaviour. He was obviously red carded and got his punishment but I think France lost their best penalty kicker.

I'd be interested to find out who saw Zidane's moment of madness - the assistant and ref didn't seem to see it. Is it part of the 4th or 5th officials remit to alert them to it? Or did they watch a replay on the big screen! If that's the case then Italy shouldn't even be there, they would have lost to Australia in ET had the ref not been conned!

I think France dominated the second half and the extra time. Italy were never looking like they were threatening. France were attacking and it was pity that the better side lost but again, will the Italian care? Ofcourse not. It is party in Rome tonight and the cup is back in Italy for the fourth time. Congrats to them.

I think this has been a very good tournament. We have got some fantastic matches.

But again, wouldn't you hate to be Thierry Henry? runner up in Champions League and now runner up in World Cup.
