Scientists are trying to improve the conductivity of semi-conductors so that they become full-conductors....just like cupper.. That is a great topic for research

here are some topics that you might have interest into: 1. Can GaAs replace SiO2 ? 2. Creating low power CMOS transistor. 3. Stability of FCC. etc etc etc ......

Thapap, GaAs is a semiconductor and SiO2 is a oxide..which is used as a gate oxide as a insulator so we can never use ...

product/application of semi conductor: Now a days semi conductors are widely used in mammography as a detectors chips (or Charge Couple Device, CCD) and sometime we call these detectors as semi conductor detector (like GaAs, Si, pixel detectors etc). Scientist are always trying to use low dose radiation (less than 0.7 mSv) and looking for high quality image (having high resolution/contrast) by improving Detective Quantum Efficiency, DQE. Semi-conductors (like Si) have been used for a long time in mammography but the current issue is its thickness. This is one of the latest issue in the product/application of Semi-conductor in mammogrphy. It might be helpful issue to you too.....
