Pay the goddamned fee man. It's worth it. Look at The circumstances that is leading you to rely on TPS. $515 is nothing compares to thousands of dollars you would have spend on maintaining status. Dont expect everything to be cheap & free.

Somewhere on this forum i saw someone say they applied for waiver and got thier TPS approved. So yes it can be done. She said they were students and submitted some documents i forgot what they are. U can search it. It may be a month old post. So if u plan to apply for waiver, provided you are well educated/smart, make sure to submit documents to backup ur waiver request. All the best

Thanks mangale and bairaghi for your valuable feedbacks. I read somewhere that applying for waiver delays the process of EAD and TPS so I wanted to see if anyone here in sajha had any first hand experience.

@Kalanki I did apply for TPS in mid September with fee waiver and now it says "New Card (EAD) Is Being Produced" (I had EAD before). Fee waving process didn't take much time, I think it all depends on option you pick for waiver and the documents you submit to back it up. Good luck.

you can appy fee waiver, the only thing you need to do is tick finincial hardship in I912 form and submit some document to support your case, the document includes a letter from your DSO, graduate assistance letter, your rent bill and other bills (if you can provide) and a letter from you stating that the money you earned is not enough and you cannot get support from nepal because of earthquake. thats all! if you are denied you will get your packet returned to you with in 20 days. good luck😀
