पन्डित दीन्बन्धु पोख्रेलले वाचन गर्नुभएको महायज्ञ समापनको अन्तिम दिनमा नुवाकोट निवासी तथा हाल अमेरिकामा आफ्नो ब्यवसाय गर्दै आएका एकराज/नीरा पाण्डेले एक लाख एघार हजार एक सय एघार डलर (करिब असी लाख रुपैयाँ) दान गरेका छन् । प्रबासी नेपाली समाजको इतिहासमा यो नै आजसम्मको सबैभन्दा ठुलो सेवा दान हो ।

सामुदायिक केन्द्र, पशुपतिनाथ मन्दिर र बुद्ध स्तुपा निर्माण सहयोगार्थ आयोजित सप्ताह कार्यक्रममा दश लाख डलर (करिब सात करोड पच्चिस लाख रुपैयाँ) दान संकलन भएको छ ।

yes, this is promised to be paid in 5 years but i am very suspectful of the promise being fulfilled. I don't know if they have donated a single penny as of now.

I really appreciate their donation and hope they will keep up these kinds of work (if they can) for good cause.
I salute you. I know there are many other nepalese who can ( really can) do this but hardly do.
Being out of country, they must have felt the need of a cultural place where every one can do some of the cultural practices we used to do back in Nepal.
Its their money and their decission the kind of charitable donation they want to make. You might think it could have been used different way but think this way "how indians have united to build some sort of cultural or religious center in almost every cities in USA.
If you can, do it if you cannot just shut your mouth while others are doing something good.

If someone wants to donate his money for the temple it is his choice, his belief and no boday has any right to make any comments against any person's legal wish.

Lot of folks, who gave up their being nepalipan, culturally and socially, would never understand the long term cultural significance of such works. Just for example,  to cater your small needs,   if your relatives want to get married tomorrow they wont have to knock on temples build by good folks from our neighboring country. If you do not understand lot about culture and its social significance, learn from your neighbors- how they established themselves here, socially, culturally and economically. Your kids probably do not know where nepal is but their kids know where their parents came from.

Understand, if a person can donate huge amount to such religious cause, he would definately would have donated many for philanthropic purpose, even he did not , one should refrain from making negetive comments against this particular individuals.

 Pause and think about a second........What if that money would have gone towards the education of a child that hasn't seen a school before or yet the elder son of that guy who died in that tuin accident in trisuli...His dreams are crushed now because the responsibility of the whole family is now on his shoulder. I would love to see a day when somebody funded that guys dream to be a engineer in pulchowk campus.........and may be one day he will go back to his village and replace that tuin with a small jholunge pul.....Do your math people how much would 4 years of education in pulchowk campus cost ? Do we need that much money to make the difference and earn some punya?

I don't see why you have to criticize everything. Unless you put your money where your mouth is, i.e., donate a significant sum to a cause you are advocating, you are just making a fool out of yourself.

The reason I started this topics was to discuss who are these people and how they are earning money ?

A person donating more than 100K must have some great business in US or must be some smuggler . What do u think guys ?

I am working hard in this f..king country and ...dont know when i will be capable to donate 100K just for nothing.

So guys my question was do anybody know them who are doing great business ? We can learn something from them..

Are these big donors associated with the Temple organization? Sometimes people give donations for their own cause to encourage others to give. It will be good to know if they can afford to give this donation right now. Thus the question of what they do is a valid question. Because who is to guarantee that these are not the same people who will say few years later they can't afford to give it.
