Guys, I thought merosansar .com.np was a cool blog site.... well it is.. but the site is very Biased.... so called.. Umesh Shrestha is agaist Gyane.. well we all know the sitation but this does not mean we should rule him (king) out.. we should look at the big picture.. we should be shown the nutral view and it will be us to decide... Well what did 10 yrs of "DEMOCRACY" brought to Nepal??? How well did the Ministers ran our country??? I personally think .. Nepal is just not ready for Democracy .. just because people do not understand the "meaning" of democracy... those ppl in the riot showing.. " mukutt hami jalawoo chumm.. desh hami.. chaluchumm.." this is just one big ol' BS.. just imagine.. we letting that guy run the country! it will be even worse....

why do people keep insisting that we shouldnt have democracy because we 'arent ready for democracy?' do you really believe an autocracy has a better chance of making us any 'readier' than what we are? cant you realize that the ruling class in any autocracy will find it in it's best interests to supress changes that makes a society more receptible to a more democratic form of government? which brings me to the last question are you one of the people who will benefit from an authoritarian government or are you a compete moron

Something to ponder. Democracy although it sounds good but it really possible. & parties are using this cover to bring theier own mafia rule where as maos are using it to bring ultra extreme communism. First step should be reform of democatic force to defeat these rats. As simple as that. Enough with being played around by these morons. Alos recently, one candidate from Sadvawana was shot dead. no body spoke about it here in Sajha. Does maos and parties have any rights to threaten people? Eliminate opposing voice. Practice what yo preach. peace out

Well until 'The MOB' becomes well educated I will vouch for monarchy. Nepal should have good leaders with good educational back ground. Only then they could move our country to the path of economic prosperity. Nepal wont go anywhere until people think like "Bhedaa" as they are right now.. we see videos where people are going on riots.. trying to cross over the fire hose.. thats just insane...

I dont think our current political leaders will do any better to educate the citizens... Talking about "brainwashing".. I dont see how the current King's action has to do anything with it.. We all know that the Maoist are brainwashing the innocent civilians ... Please read Nov. Edition of the National Geographic Magazine.. a cover story... (See Link below...) http://www7.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0511/feature3/ and if you have a good internet connection please watch the video.. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2702113930400709162&q=communism+and+darwin (the above video.. made me think about the future of Nepal..., full length video.. worth the time...) Let me know what you think! Jay Nepal... Sri Pasupathinath le Hamro Rachya Garun....

Reflects your intolerance to opposing point of view. >> Well until 'The MOB' becomes well educated I will vouch for monarchy. Did you ever bother to think who this MOB is. Is this MOB imported from India or may be EU or US. And what makes you think you are well educated than them.

Bandhu.. Good points.. but.. I can argue.. !! years of monarchy was able to sustain Peace in our country.. which democracy failed.. briving was limited to certain people only and was done under the table as in any country..even in US.. where as the democracy brought too many ppl looking for opportunigty to get brives.. and became very open.. we all know notting could be done in gov. office unless u show some green... THE MOB.. i mean the bhedee budhi bhako.. nepalese who are organize riot .. and distrub business.... Yes there are nepelase who are well educated and qualified... example.. u can see many Nepalese working in many big international corporations holding key positions..! amen!!

We can't blame democracy for Nepal's woeful lack of leadership. Having the ability to elect a representative does not insure anything except a vote. Part of the problem is the lack of ability to check corrupt and poor leadership. What system of checks and balances do we have to hold elected officials accountable for their actions or lack of action when they should act?

Bond_007 has some good points...but the argument can go either way.....I agree...we were safer, there was peace during the Monarchy....After Democracy, I had to be scared right in my neighborhood....If I had a different political inclination from my neighbor, God forbid, my neighbor would throw rocks in the so called "Black Out"...Democracy made neighbors enemies, relatives strangers...and much more....That's not to say Democracy itself is bad....Democracy in Nepal is like "BANDAAR KO HAAT MA NEELO NARIWAL", The system can be the best in paper, but not in Nepal's contest.... If DEMOCRACY is to burn Vehicles-- I don't need it If DEMOCRACY is to kill humans mercilessly - I don't need it If DEMOCRACY is to create riot in schools and colleges - I don't need it If DEMOCRACY is to to rape young girls in the name of People's war - I don't need it If DEMOCRACY is to ban medias - I don't need it If DEMOCRACY is THE means to get rich overnite (for ministers) --I don't need it If DEMOCRACY is to anything other than peace and prosperous Nepal -- I DON'T need it.

Some days ago I happened to receive a junk e-mail, probably was a best junk I have ever received ! :D I think it is relevant here too. It says that we poor from developing countries (including Nepal) do not follow the basic functional principles of Life i.e. majority of us do not have attitude favourable for development and democracy. So that democracy has been a misnomer! These basic functional principles included are: 1. Ethics, (as a basic principle). 2. Integrity 3. Use of power and responsibility 4. Respect to the laws & rules 5. Respect to the rights of other citizens 6. Work loving, accountability 7. Strive for saving & investment 8. Will of super action 9. Punctuality (Food for thought !) Until and unless "WE" citizens are aware of these points, nothing is going to improve wheather there is full democracy or an anarchy. ...हरि शरणम् !...

Fortunately democracy is none of those things above... democracy is only the act of expressing one's voice... i.e. one person one vote. Don't distract people through the act of mislabeling bad behavior as democracy. Ocean's comments on the other hand are on point.

i guess we are the "amiss" ourselves , coz nomatter who runs the country ends up as a leech sucessful in draining every last drop of blood from nation and citizens, they come rule on us makes up a treaty sells part of the country , sloughters thousnds of our people and calls them "either maoist or police killed in the war" and the most we do is burn the manpower shut down roads ,for nepali people killed by araibian terrorists , not meaning it wasnt moving and sad, but HELLOO what about the thousand of people killed in our own country, if we cannot save them in our own country forget about abroad. Apart from it we dont care about anything that goes in our country even if we do it is limited in our words not in action. a.The rate of gas , petrol or anything doubles, what we do? have enough stock for 1month for the home . b.Maoist ,political parties etc...declares bandh "one more day of f wahh relax". for example MTA(public transportation system) declared strike in NEW YORK all the newyorker were still going to work they started wearing sneakers and big jackets and they walked for more then an hour but went to work. whats up with us. untill and unless "WE"step forward and saySTOP its never going to stop and already weak economy falls more. i guess we need a little shaking up by a "true leader". honestly i really think we need a new and energetic positive leader and the old ones allll trashed up pulled out by its root.Untill then nothing can be said unless some miracle happens and our existing king starts doing positive improvements.

Something that really pisses me off is that these protests and demonstrations normally turns into destruction of infrastructure and public/personal properties. Why the heck sombeody gotta throw stones at traffic lights, burn transmission sets. Top of that, these moron leaders encourage these actions. More destruction, its on news. Right now I think these leaders seriously want some gunfire by cops so that they can make issue outta it.. Highfly for peace in Nepal.
