Didn't know our SITARA had a "little Sitara'. How wonderful. I am so happy, she was not harmed.

NePaRu, Finally, you get to know the real Sitara. She's quite a lady. Thank God she's safe and sound. I like her prose and poety. But, her political correctness is at its extreme and it annoys me sometimes with some of the stances she takes on certain issues especially the ones that concern Maoists.

I am thrilled, I am still thinking of Little Sitara, God forbid, what would have happen to her? I am glad you are safe and sound. My deep sympathy. May God always bless you. BTW Sitara, I have been warned not to drive as well by Jyotisi, not until I am 29, now I am 27 do you think I shall stop?

Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder how you are? Now change that star to what you would call it in pure Nepali and you'll get "Sitara?". You asked, " So, is SITARA= KARUNA CHETTRI =SITARA " Yes, they are both the same and I have to hand it to you for figuring it out. You get a 'Sun ko takma'.... CHEEEEEERS. Now, please leave her alone, so that we can enjoy her amazing gift of writing and taking us to places where we seldom go to. She lives in DC, her mother's maiden name is....., her social security number is.... MUST YOU KNOW? And her's her pic, if you are so darn curious...

I hadn't read that piece of article. Thanks for sharing Neparu. Star, glad to know you are okay now. I hadn't read the severity of the accident while I was reading this article and thus I was very impressed by this sentence: How about a swap with voting rights: Teenagers should vote but not drive. Less at stake there The satire on the latter sentence is uncanny. But such an event go beyond the meaning of literature. Feel bad that you had to go through that. I've heard about a really good astrologer back in the country, wondering was it the same who predicted yours? Wanna share the name?

Thanks friends for your good wishes, may they multiply ten folds and return to you and yours! Ssny, appreciate your concern. The above is the pic for Sajha. This one's for Nations Weekly (only on the hard copy though)! May your curiousity be put to rest. :) Chip of the old block; it is a matter of perception. Many consider my views politically incorrect. DWI, the Jyotish is a young man. His name is Dipendra, owns an ayurvedic shop (Vedh Chakchyu). He lives in Pulchowk. I enjoy talking to him when I visit Nepal because he is has an uncanny ability to explain scientifically the "science of astrology". He studied at the Delhi University of Astrology, I believe. He is also very well-read on both Eastern and Western philosophy.

Wow. Sitara. Had not been to Sajha in a while. Dropped by. And saw this thread. So who is Sitara. This is not the first time she is making headlines, I assumed. But found this article. Sorry to hear you got into this. But am glad you are okay. I got into a real bad one once. Upstate NY. 2 AMish. Icy road. The difference between life and death: 3 seconds. 1001, 1002, 1003. Increase your following distance for future rides. Hope the insurance folks got the story right. Oh. Well. All's well that ends well.

Route 29 corridore its too dangerous. I also got accident some 2 years ago at the intersection of Farland road and rt. 29. My car was pinned by Ford Excursion. I broke my clovical bone, my shoulder join pop off, my arm was broken, my 5th, 4th and 7nth ribs were cracked, and my left thigh was broken cuz i was hit straight in drivers side by this idiot who was running red lite. what a conincindence it was dec 9nth. still whenever i drive around there it gives me a good chill.

Sitara- I am very glad to know you are safe. Swaati-very sorry to hear that you had to go through such an ordeal. I hope you are completely healed by now. Wednesday I was returning to Bethesda from Baltimore that way and I realized I shouldn't have taken that road. There were only two lanes on southbound 29, and at the intersection of Cherry Hill Road, somejack ass going west on Cherry Hill was sticking out half way making only one lane possible. Besides road construction, some of the drivers were driving like nuts putting everybody's life in jeopardy. To all, have a safe and happy holidays. Don't Drink and Drive. It's not worth it, seriously. A split second can totally change your life.
