Dear T Mobile, you are an awesome carrier in the US, no doubt about it. This is a guy who's been through AT&T, Verizon and now T Mobile over the course of 7 years. I must admit that you guys have excellent customer service. Every time I get a cheerful operator who is in every way tries to help and listen to the concern I have. You guys are great.
Few weeks ago though you announced free calls/texts to Nepal. That's a great humanitarian act but I've been lately hearing from my compatriots that your free service is being abused even by those who could have afforded it or not affected in anyway, just to talk to every person they've never called in ages spending hours for all their nonsensical talks instead short-sweet emergency chats. Being from Nepal myself, in fact I called you folks for the free service. But it just didn't feel right to me that I abuse some service when am not really the rightful candidate of it. So I called next morning and asked you to remove that international call feature from my account. The operator was actually surprised , must be thinking am a fool, didn't give him much explanation but it's about conscience.
Now the main thing, you are extremely popular everywhere. Most of my compatriots use your service and this free service has caused terrible network congestion out there. I can't get my call through without at least 10 attempts. I highly request you to take this service off. I thank you for being so considerate and kind but believe me please we living off this great land of the USA can easily afford to call back home. Those are the ones out there who needs to be given free service to call us here, not us. This further prevents network congestion for folks like us.

There is always good and bad side of any actions. You cannot change it by your logic speech here. There were free calls and text by At&t, t-mobiles and even by some carriers from Nepal. There always might be some people who will be misusing it but it does not mean that it is a wrong cause of these business organization who is at least trying to help out the people. You cannot connect to the network of Nepal, its not because call is free from USA. Wash your brain, the current situation has already made the network busy. Imagine within only inside the country how much people needs to use it. Another example, U.S government has given food stamps to the eligible people of this country, there are some crooks who misuses it, so what now, we have to force this government to stop giving away food stamps. You can see just to get child support how many immigrants and even minority groups from here give birth to child just like the way cat gives. Do you have to say anything on them too?? The Bottom line is that you cannot avoid and stop some crooks and mislead the whole campaign. And I wonder what makes you brilliant and you see only idiots around you.

Its no misuse, rather utilization of service to full extent. We pay them a lot already in montly bills. This is their way of giving back. I see no harm if people wanna utilize the service. Why people make everything complicated when it should have been simple. With calling cards, my calls would not always ring; now with direct call, i can stay in touch with my family easily and with less hassle. Its a win win. Nobody is losing; so why make a big fuss!

Hello, I am trying to get some sense from Sajaits. I usually don't care whether you use/mis-use. Free bhandai ma alaktra na kham ki sathi.. There are lots of free stuff you can get from company.

1. You can go to Mcd with the refill cup from earlier purchase and use it untill the bottm falls off.
2. You can go to walmart and buy stuff, use it and return it after use it many times./when u don't need it.
3. Get free ketchup from all fastfood and fill it in large cup bring it home and use it.

4. Call cell phone insurance company tell them that you lost the phone and send it to back home. etc etc etc

What I am trying to say is T-MO/Cell company have all the record who call for how long. Phone company provided that service so that you can find well being of love one. For god forbid if we run into the same situation in near future and phone company decides not to give free service to any country. Think about it my dear friend.That's not how a business runs.
Let say that this is your company (Tmo,walmart, mcd, gas station) do you want to see that happen to your company. I am just trying to say "DO THE RIGHT THING". I am not blaming anyone for it use/misuse.

those guys were not that stupid that they did not know there will be abuse of their humanitarian service. they evaluated it before hand, that's why it took few days before the final decision was made. John J Legree said " we will compensate about 20 abuse of this service for every single call made by actual victim" which covers the whole abuse.
p.s : I am on AT&T for last 5 years. T-mobile network sucked in my area. and that quote does not have source.

There is no congestion whatsoever. I call Nepal in the morning and evening and there is no congestion. Calls ring immediately and the voice is crystal clear. I call to cellphones in Kathmandu.

Is T-mobile free call extended till may 31? Can anybody confirm?
