And was told by a few credible sources that spadgies have now made it to the top of the top firms/corps out there. Guess its one point for the spadgies now (time for the Paulites to catch up). Another fellow from Doon (the other best school out there and our competitor during my BCS Shimla days), Fareed Zakaria is the World Editor of Newsweek, Inc. Damn, Looks like the hill shools are churning out the best candidates for the top jobs.

Samsara..you are absolutely correct...I think hill schools has always been the best educational insitution in South Asia...since decades...lets hope they keep up the tradition and not get commercialized like the schools in other regions...
BTW I am sure you are aware about the frenzy Prashant Tamang has caused among the Nepalese people in the hills and elsewhere...well the results for the finals will be out this Sunday in New Delhi...got the passes for the show...not really keen on attending it but k garne..peer pressure...What your take on this whole Prashant Tamang thing?

Nice sursum, have fun and I hope our boy from the hills will make us all proud. BTW, I never ever caught the Idol phenomenon (I hated the American Idol ever since it first came out and I laughed so hard when I first found out about the Indian Idol thing a few years ago). I'm more into seeing bands play or original compositions or even hear peeps recite original poetry. Since Idol has nothing of that kind, it just disgusts me that some peeps have it real easy in the music biz even though they have no original compositon nor play any instruments. They should go through the same channel as every other apiring musician out there by knocking on every studio out there and auditioning.

However, I haven't watched a single Indian Idol show so I really cannot say who among Prashant or Amit is the better one. If I did vote then, I'd vote for Prashant without watching the show as I really wouldn't be able to live with myself if I saw/felt that Amit was the better singer/performer. Let the best deserving candidate win. Hahaha It also amuses me to see how viewers make their lives a part Indian Idol rather than the other way around!!

Man Samsara..u just reminded me about that game...I am an ardent United fan since 1998...With all the turmoil in the Chelsea camp...the game is ours!!! United to win 2-0....tomorrow is the 20-20 semi-final as well....
