My computer is running slow. Could somebody tell me how to close the programs running in the background? Thank you.

just delete all the internet cookies in temporary internet files.

Click-->start---->Run---> and in the space enter, "msconfig"

A system configuration utility would appear in a new window

click on the "Startup" tap thats on your top right.
Now you would have the ability to see all the programs that are running in your background or startup. YOu can disbale it by unchecking the box(as you like)

To make your computer faster you can go the System tools from accessories and do Scandisk, disk cleanup and disk defragment.. .

come back and tell me if that help or not.. if not then i have other ways .. too...
