i couldn't get my one of the lost baggage yet and it already passed 10 days. the airlines told me to fill the baggage claim form and submit. how should i claim? I dont' have any bills and proof of the luggage in the bag? Can I exaggerate?

you must have luggage tag, the tag they usually attached to your boarding pass during the check in, that is your proof. you should have filled claim before getting out of the airport . if airlines tells you to fill baggage claim thats good sign, ask airlines to provide you the form or they may have it online. regarding the contents of the lost baggage please fill it honestly and with original price tag, you will usually get 80 % back good luck

was it Qatar Airways??? happened to me last month while going to Nepal. but got the luggage by 3rd day. You should have asked for immediate compensation at airlines counter at the Airport. I got NRS-3500(not dollars$$) to buy some clothes and basic utilities from Qatar Airways at Durbar Marga. I talked to the representative at the airport and he took me to Durbar marga office and got me the money. well i even saved on taxi ride to the city. guess what went to my fren's house, used his clothes and went out for a party that night. Thanx Qatar!!!!

Airlines usually have a set amount limit that they will give you in case they lose your luggage, regardless of its content. Lot of airlines do provide emergency money at the airport counter if the luggage does not arrive with you, especially in international travel. This amount usually is between $100 to $200. Be nice to the person on the counter and ask for help. Try not to yell. That person was probably yelled at million times already, so that won't make things better. Plus, it really is not his/her fault. Usually, honey works better than bitter pill.

I have stated about the matter in the airport and they gave a form to fill. I have filled and returned back to them. They have told me to wait for some days so that they can trace out and do inform me. But, last time they called they couldn't trace and since it's already more than 5 days, I have to make the claim with form available in their home page. Hence, i am just getting ideas how to fill the form and how to make the claim. hope someone has better and experience on this matter.

Hi nirogina Well i don't know which airlines you have flown. generally all airlines have same rules about lost baggage. If they did not find your bag until 5 days they will send you a form by mail. you can request it by email or fax too. fill out honestly and gather receipt of those items as many as you can. If you do not have receipt don't worry.write a fair values. If they did not find at all they will pay for that bag. but it will take 3 to 4 months. If you travel international or at least 1 part international they will pay you maximum of 634 dollars per bag, if you fly domestic they eill pay you maxmium of 2800 dollars per person. If you post your claim no i may help you to locate the bag. one of my friend work in airlines. Good luck.

it was Air Canada and Quatar Airways. weight 23 kg and Cloth and books, folks. i am just filling the form and will send Air Canada soon.
