So, now, killing in a stroke, like we do in Nepal seems as the better way of killing...

ktmdude, don't listen to this whining. You are right in exposing and illuminating us with these pictures. Keep 'em coming to remind us of the cruelties done to other beings.

Imagine next what it feels like to be butchered by having one's throat cut - while one is still fully conscious. Pigs are gentle, sensitive, intelligent and highly social creatures. They are functionally equivalent - both in their intelligence and capacity to suffer - to human infants and toddlers. The British meat industry kills about 15 million pigs each year. The full horror of their gruesome deaths defies easy description. Slaughter first involves 'stunning'. This is followed by throat-slitting. Throat-slitting is also called 'sticking'. The terrified animals are usually stunned electrically by placing tongs on either side of the neck behind their ears. In many cases, the 'stunning' is inadequate. This is because the tongs are not held in place for long enough. In numerous other cases, the tongs are 'incorrectly' placed. Typically, the voltages used are insufficient. In consequence, many pigs regain consciousness during bleeding-out, or even before throat-slitting. Thus our victims die agonised and terrified deaths. - http://www.britishmeat.org/atrocity.html This pig was not properly stunned before her throat was cut. She struggled so violently that she slipped her shackles and fell into the blood pit below. The slaughterman laughed as he shackled her back up. She was disembowelled, cut into pieces and packaged for the supermarket shelf. A recent Viva investigation revealed that tens of millions of animals killed each year in British abattoirs regain consciousness before they die. Our fellow creatures experience the terror of hanging upside down in shackles and staring into the blood pit below as their life-blood drains away. - http://www.hfa.org/photo/cattle_slaughterhouse.html

ktmdude... Hello Mister Before you point your finger to other nation and culture, start showing your (ours) cruelty. Stop killing animal during Dashain. Killing is killing, no matter how, where, who. I bet you still eat meat and you family still kills during Dashain. So what's the point? Huh

Cerina I've heard that many times before. They're not making a Vooj to feed few people, they're for mass production. Let's see -chopping the head off with a long knife to spread blood over the car, motorcycle is NOT cruel compared to them. Hummm, we're better than them. That's what you believe. Nice

Humans take pleasure in killing something.. there's also a delicacy in china i think where they eat the fish half cooked...meaning that they cook half of the fish and eat while watching it writhe in pain

let's stop eating meat. just remember the unbearable torture suffered by the innocent animals before you ask for hamburger or other cuisine made with meat. let's be human, we're the most intelligent creature in this planet. With great power comes great responsibilities. Ever wondered how it'd feel if there were stronger creature than human who'd do the same as we are doing to the helpless creatures today. Think about it. Even if you can't totally give up meat at once, try it. we can do it,........afterall we are human.

Trust me folks I ate bread for the breakfast, lunch pasta and dinner plain pizza and left over fish. That's it and I'm going to avoid the meat as long as I can. I want to do what I can. If I do that at least I can satisfy myself saying myself that I did what I can :) in the name of freedom of all living creature.
