Hi, Question about GC process for a Nepalese citizen: If I-140, AOS, EAD and AP are filed concurrently for EB2, what is the timeline to get each of them? Thanks, Katrina

: If I-140, AOS, EAD and AP are filed concurrently for EB2, I-140 generally takes anywhere from 7-9 months. EAD- 90 dasy. AP- 60-90 days. Talk with your lawyer about filing your I 140 AND I 485 concurrently. coz if your lawyer files your I 485 after your I 140 is approved, it will take another 6-8 months, but if filed together, you should be albe to get a green card in about 12 monhts. however , also know that, if you file your I 140 AND I 485 concurrently, and if your I 140 is denied, then your I 485 will be denied too.

Thanks Mansion. How can I check the status of my applications? My lawyer said he has filed I140, EAD,AP and AOS a month ago but I haven't received any acknowledgment letter or anything like that for them yet. Do you know how long does it take to get the acknowledgement letter of the applications for each of them? Kattie

wow..reply after 1 month and 9 days. lol it usually takes up to 21 (mostly 14 days) to get a receipt from USCIS. In the receit , you can see the number that starts with SRC- then go to..www.uscis.gov, and click on that case processing link. https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do;jsessionid=a4gY4FXEionf

guzmoon, if you have master's degree but no job experience, you could be eligible for EB2 in the condition that the job you will be offered requires master's degree. In current situation, EB3 takes around 4 years.
